Getting carried away

In the final years of the last millennium I bought and moved into a wreck of a house in a semi-rural location in Berkshire. I don't remember doing any knitting there.

But I had discovered gardening. That's not quite true. Gardens and outside space had been important to me in all my first-married and subsequent family houses.

And I'd always loved visiting gardens wherever I travelled.

But this was the first garden that I had to create from scratch.
